Long and bass grand bridges keep original wood bottom (refinished), while top (cap) is removed and new maple installed. The bridge is dimensioned exactly to old bridge specifications, perfectly notched, drilled, and re-pinned with either copper or high-polish nickel-plated pins. Accuracy guaranteed. Upright long bridges are duplicated in the same manner as grands, while bass bridges use all new maple stock and are fixed to a new or original apron, depending on condition. Complicated or unusual designs (for example, Steinway Upright Model K or V) can also be duplicated.
